Born in Dover, Delaware, on June 1, 1969, Theresa Elizabeth Polo was raised in a family-oriented home with two older brothers, Mike and Steve. Her father Vince, a stereo systems designer, and mother Jane, a homemaker, encouraged Teri to pursue her dancing talent at a young age. Ballet was her forte and, from the age of 6, Teri spent most of her extracurricular hours in the dance studio. teri polo becomes a model Despite being an honors student at Dover High School and a principal dancer for the Delaware Regional Ballet, Teri dropped out of school at age 17. Perhaps this was due to a change in environment, as Teri moved to Los Angeles in 1995. The bright spots of her television resume include recurring roles in Northern Exposure (from 1994 to 1995), Felicity (1999) and Sports Night (1999 and 2000). Polo also found work on the House of Frankenstein 1997 miniseries, the 1998 made-for-TV movie The Marriage Fool with Walter Matthau, and the sci-fi series Brimstone (from 1998 to 1999).
