Maggie Grace was born on September 21st, 1983 in Columbus, Ohio. Having launched an acting career in 2002, she got her start in movies like Murder in Greenwich (2002) (TV) and Shop Club (2002). In 2003, at the age of 20, Maggie played a creepy, Goth-influenced estranged daughter of Wendy Crewson and Tom Selleck in the drama _12 Mile Road (2003) (TV)_ . But her big break did not come until one year later. Just last year, at 21 years old going on 22, Maggie Grace made a name for herself by playing the beautiful Shannon Rutherford on the hit ABC island-survival drama "Lost" (2004), which debuted on TVs everywhere in 2004. Now, this fall, you can see her with "Smallville" (2001) cover boy Tom Welling in the new horror film The Fog (2005).
